As Nola Theiss flips through a glossy picture book illustrated by local children, the powerful message of the book can be seen in the drawings- abstract shapes with crying faces, hands holding the Earth, chains binding women to their prisons and handwritten messages like, “Stop Human Trafficking”.
The Wildcats Charitable Foundation recently donated $7000. to Human Trafficking Awareness Partnerships (HTAP) to support its programs which educate youth about the dangers of human trafficking through its art programs and other educational programs, including those held in school health classes, summer camps, afterschool programs and community events.

Fort Myers, FL – September 5, 2017– Human Trafficking Awareness Partnerships (HTAP) Receives $1,500 Grant from the Fort Myers Rotary Club. The money will be used to purchase art supplies for 100 children in HTAP’s ARTREACH programs in Lee County. The programs are held after school and in summer camps.
The Rotary Club of Sanibel-Captiva supports Human Trafficking Awareness Partnerships (HTAP) Prevention Power Day for children with outreach materials in English and Spanish. “This grant supports Prevention Power Day for kids in the Dunbar area at the Stars Complex in January, National Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Month”, said Nola Theiss, executive director of HTAP. “Children will participate in a fun activity which teaches them facts about human trafficking with participating social serve agencies who interact with the kids.
