The "Lale" or tulip is a symbol of abundance. This beautiful bloom was introduced by Seljuk Turks to Anatolia in the 11th century from where it made its way to Europe in the 16th century and became so popular that it resulted in the eruption of Tulip Mania, in the Netherlands in the 1630s. The word tulip comes from the Turkish word "tulbend" or "turban", which the flower resembles.
This lovely featherlight scarf features an all over pattern of Turkish tulips against an ivory background, accented by graceful borders and medallions in tones of navy, jade and tan.
